Wir schreiben das Jahr 2008 … In einem kleinen Örtchen namens
Wellesweiler bei Neunkirchen trafen vier Headbanger aufeinander. Man
stellte fest, dass alle ein wenig musikalisch begabt und bereit waren zu
rocken. Eine neue Band war geboren. Nach langen Recherchen über einen
einzigartigen Bandnamen wurde man schließlich fündig. Ein Begriff aus
dem Wesen der Technik sollte die Stärke der Band symbolisieren und nach
außen tragen. Nun war es an der Zeit, eine zweite Gitarre zu besetzen.
Kirill Haag war letztlich der Auserkorene, der die Band im Spätsommer
2009 komplettieren sollte. Stilistisch passte fortan alles zusammen. Das
Songwriting ging voran und schnell hatte man ein entsprechendes Set für
Live-Gigs beisammen.
Ehe man sich versah war man Teilnehmer an diversen Bandcontests. Da man
bis dato unbekannt war, hatte man nichts zu verlieren und brauchte etwas
Publicity. Nachdem im Januar 2010 der Bandcontest zu Bexbach gewonnen
wurde, folgte ein weiterer Sieg beim Streetworker Bandcontest der
Gemeinde Merchweiler. Erstmals fand man sich zwei Tage später im
regionalen Teil der Saarbrücker Zeitung wieder.
Nun wollte man auch versuchen an größeren Wettbewerben teilzunehmen und
RESISTANCE OF YIELD bewarb sich bei Regioactive für den „BATTLE OF
METAL“. Aus 250 Bands wurden die fünf Saarländer von der
Regioactive-Redaktion in die Top 30 gewählt. Von nun an musste ein
Online-Voting die 10 Finalisten bestimmten, die dann wiederum als
Liveacts im Club Ceasar, ausgerechnet in Neunkirchen, gegeneinander
antreten sollten. Das Online-Voting endete für RESISTANCE OFYIELD mit
einem deutlichen 1. Platz. Und auch beim Finale wählte das Publikum, das
die Band während ihres Auftrittes mit fortwährenden „R.O.Y-Rufen“
begleitete, die 5 Thrash-Metaller aufs Siegertreppchen. Man hatte also
den letzten freien Slot für das ROCKAREA-FESTIVAL ergattert!
Nachdem man beim RockArea einen gelungenen Festivaleinstand verbuchen
konnte, wollte man nun den nächsten Schritt gehen. Die Zeit war
gekommen, die geschriebenen Werke aufzunehmen. 2011 erschien das
Debütalbum „Towards The Apocalypse“. Die 10 Songs der Platte lassen eine
düstere und drückende Weltuntergangsstimmung verlauten und sind in
“treibende Oldschool“ Death- und Thrashmetalriffs verpackt, die
lediglich durch die Gitarrensoli hin und wieder aufgelockert werden. Die
Vocals kommen einem düsteren Propheten der Hiobsbotschaften gleich,
welche von regelrechten Druminfernos untermalt werden. Man darf auf die
Veröffentlichung gespannt sein. So far … Abide by the metal!!!
We’re calling the Year 2008 … in a little town named Wellesweiler
close to Neunkirchen, four Headbanger clashed. It was found that all
four are a little bit musically gifted and they are ready to rock ! A
new Band was Born ! After long searches about a unique bandname, was it
eventually discovered.
A concept from the essence of art to symbolize the strength of the band
and contribute to the outside. Now it was time to fill a second guitar.
Kirill Haag was ultimately the Chosen one, which was to complete the
band in late summer 2009. Stylistically, now it all fits together. The
songwriting went ahead and quicklythey had to make a corresponding set
for live gigs.
Before we knew it, they were participants in various band contests.
Since it was unknown until now, had nothing to lose and they needed some
publicity. After they won the Band Contest to Bexbach in January 2010,,
they followed another victory in the Street Worker Band Contest
Merchweiler the community. For the first time they found themselves back
2 days later in a regional newspaper of the Saarland.
Now we also wanted to try more contests and RESISTANCE OF YIELD applied
at Regioactive for the „BATTLE OF METAL“. Out of 250 bands, the band was
selected by the Regioactive editorial in the top elected 30th. From now
on, they had an online voting determined the 10 finalists, which in turn
acts Live at Club Caesar, of all places in Neunkirchen, should compete
against each other. The online voting ended for RESISTANCE OFYIELD a
significant first Place. And the final selected the audience that the
band accompanied during their appearance with continued „ROY-Call“, the
podium five trash-metal band to the winners. They had therefore the last
available slot for the ROCK AREA FESTIVAL get hold of!
Once you have registered with the rock area a successful festival debut,
we wanted to take the next step. In 2011 the debut album „Towards The
Apocalypse“ was released. The 10 songs of the CD can be announced a
gloomy and oppressive world mood and are „driving old school“ death-and
thrash metal riffs packed, which is broken only by the guitar solos here
and there. The vocals are a gloomy prophets of bad news, the same which
are accompanied by real druminfernios. We can look forward to the
publication. So far … Abide by the metal!
