Die Band aus der Südpfalz gründet sich im Frühjahr 2006, wobei von
Beginn an für Oliver Reinecke (Gesang/Gitarre), Dominik Schaetzel
(Gitarre), Philipp Schrenk (Bass) und Patrick Spotka (Schlagzeug)
feststeht, dass sie mehr wollen, als Musik als bloßen Zeitvertreib zu
sehen. Deshalb gehen die vier Musiker sehr engagiert und so
professionell wie möglich an das Projekt Futile heran.
Bereits im Dezember 2006 werden unter Regie von Andreas Schorpp in
Karlsruhe sechs Songs aufgenommen, die im März 2007 als selbstbetitelte
EP erscheint. Die positive Resonanz der regionalen Musik-Szene sowie die
vielen durchweg guten Kritiken von einschlägigen Magazinen zeigen, auf
welch hohem musikalischen Niveau Futile sich bewegen.
Auch live haben Futile einiges zu bieten, denn die vier Musiker stellen
hohe Ansprüche an die Qualität ihrer Shows. Im vergangenen Jahr wurden
ca. 20 Konzerte gespielt und Futile standen unter anderem mit Bands wie
Harmful, The End und Fear Before The March Of Flames auf der Bühne.
Die Leidenschaft und Professionalität mit der Futile zu Werke gehen,
wurde im Dezember 2007 mit dem ersten Platz beim renommierten
new.bands.festival des Popnetz Karlsruhe belohnt. Hierbei setzten sich
Futile gegen 40 Mitkonkurrenten aus der Region durch und Oliver Reinecke
wurde zusätzlich als bester Sänger ausgezeichnet.
Das Debüt Album erschien am 05. Dezember 2008.Die noch stärker
ausgeprägte Professionalität sowie der gestärkte Zusammenhalt der Band
tragen dazu bei, die Songs noch ausgefeilter und vielseitiger klingen zu lassen.
The band, based in the south of Rhineland-Palatine (Germany), was founded in
the Spring of 2006. From the beginning Oliver Reinecke (vocals/guitar),
Dominik Schaetzel
(guitar), Philipp Schrenk (bass) and Patrick Spotka (drums) saw in their
music more than just a pastime project. The four musicians approach the
„Project Futile“ with the utmost dedication and as professional as possible.
Several times a week they work on new material, sending it through an
exhausting process to ensure it meets the bands standards in every way.
Already in December 2006 the band recorded 6 songs, produced by Andreas
Schorpp (Karlsruhe/Germany), released in March 2007 as a self titled EP.
The favorable feedback from the local music scene as well as consistently
positive reviews of relevant music magazines is proof for the high level of
standards applied by Futile.
Futile’s live performances have a lot to offer as well, with the band
applying the same level of quality to their shows.
Over the last 12 months Futile had over 20 performances, sharing the stage
with bands like Harmful, The End and Fear Before The March Of Flames, to
name a few.
The passion and professionalism shown by Futile were honored in December
2007 with the first place finish at the renowned new.bands.festival,
conducted by Popnetz Karlsruhe. Futile prevailed against 40 other regional
bands and additionally Oliver Reinecke received the award for best singer.
The boys worked full throttle on their debut album, it
released by STF in December 2008.
The continuous professional growth as well as the increased strong bond
inside the band will let the songs sound even more sophisticated and
versatile.
