In 2013, the Oldenburg HardRock formation said goodbye to their English-language publications and decided to take a musical quantum leap into German poetry. Unleashed and linguistically liberated, the band has since moved gripping and catchy refrains, thought-provoking messages and biting criticism of the evils of this world into the focus of their songs. This mixture forms a synergy of demanding, expressive lyrics and melodic, crashing guitar thunderstorms that infect the mind and at the same time know how to carry it away with driving beats and viral hooklines.
With the new album “Urbane Dekadenz”, the band has released an impressive work which, in the style typical of the band, reflects global developments and the increasing decadence of western societies. A musical call to the global community to take on more responsibility, borne by glowing criticism and addicting rock.
The single „On behalf of the Lord“ was published in autumn 2019 in an elaborate video clip on YouTube. Since GLUTSUCHT were until recently under the name GENTILITY, the second album will be the first under the new name and thus the reboot of a band that after all these years with countless festival appearances in the opening act of bands like the Leningrad Cowboys, Megaherz, Lord of the Lost, Ohrfeindt, Sodom and DIE HAPPY have completely reinvented them.

In the years after its founding in 2005, the band gained regional popularity with passion and enthusiasm. In the summer of 2011, GLUTSUCHT started a Charité concert tour under their old name and rocked for the soldiers stationed there in the camps of the ISAF forces in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, waiving their fee. In 2012, the first album, which was still in English at the time, was released and concert highlights featured in the preliminary act by well-known bands. In 2013 the band put an end to their English-speaking era. The language change changed the sound and the messages of the rock formation. This is what the first German-language album “Wir haben die Welt noch was zu sein”, released in 2016, stands for.
The text designs and compositions are not only recognized in the reviews of the music magazines, the band also gained a new and larger fan base with them. In 2021, the band decides to change its name to GLUTSUCHT in line with its musical change.
