Barmy Rote play nationwide on the stages ince 2008. They unite the Rock ‘n' Roll of the last 60 years, with a focus on the British Invasion. However the band does not stay within a genre: Hardrock and Reaggae are paired and the 4 Thuringians don't stop for Bebop-Jazz and Surfmusic. The Band entered many contests, among others the Europe-wide contest to the Arthur's Day 2011, which Barmy Rote wrapped up and played in Dublin.
The music includes the typical Rock n' Roll topics like women and cars, funlyrics, but also socio-critical issues. On the debut album are 12 songs, that are distinguished by being catchy and adequately produced. Musically Barmy Rote remind of bands like Led Zeppelin and Wolfmother.
